(Alternative) I created a specialized test set of drivers for the Voodoo2 1000 named the 1.02.01b drivers based off the 1.02.00 OpenGL/Glide only drivers and the 1.00.00b DirectX drivers.
Voodoo2 1000 (Glide and OpenGL only for Single cards only): All these are avaliable at except Media Player Classic which is at /projects/guliverkli/ I also included the VoodooTV and DesktopTV recommendations as well for the curious, Voodoo2 1000 help for those wanting Glide and OpenGL only support in XP/2k3, and Obsidian2 S/X Glide only support though OpenGL support avaliable only through WickedGL or MiniGL drivers. I recommend these driver sets for best results if not the best compatibility with the system and games. Since Windows XP/2k3 are very similar to Windows 2000 in architecture XP/2k share very similar if not the same drivers. Windows will ask for the Windows XP/2k3 CD to restore the file but you should cancel or say no to this suggestion. Voodoo2 and Obsidian2 S/X cards have been found to work on Windows Vista/7 32-bit operating systems but only as a Detached 3D device for Glide only. 3Dfx cards will not operate at all on this environment and no plans from any 3rd party developer or Microsoft has been planned to make or release any as of yet. I usually recommend the official Windows 2000 drivers path rather than 3rd party, but there are exceptions.Īlso as it stands there are NO drivers available for Windows XP 圆4, Windows Vista/7/2008 圆4.
